This addition to the Missionary Membership Statutes concerns those Missionary members who do not live full-time in a Family Home, but report and tithe to a Family Home (FD or MM, not FM) rather than directly to WS.
All of the clauses (responsibilities, rights, procedures, etc.) in the Missionary Membership Statutes apply to those members who report and tithe to a Home, with the following exceptions:
Since such Missionary members are not a Home in themselves, but rather report and tithe to a Home, the following two sections of the Missionary Member Statues do not apply:
Section 4. "RESPONSIBILITIES OF MISSIONARY MEMBER HOMES"
Section 7. "PROCEDURE FOR PLACING A MISSIONARY MEMBER HOME ON PROBATIONARY NOTICE"
The following clauses apply only to those Missionary members who report and tithe to an FD or MM Family Home.
To become a Missionary member who reports to a Family Home, the same procedures apply as listed in section 14 of the Missionary Member Statutes: "Procedure for Prospective Members Becoming Missionary Members and Joining a Missionary Member Home."
1. Missionary members reporting and tithing to a Home are required to give their full 10% tithe each month to the Home along with a report of their witnessing stats and activities for the month, using the form provided for this purpose.
a. The Home should report the member on their TRF personnel roster as a Missionary member tithing to their Home.
b. The Home should include the member's stats on their TRF with the witnessing stats of their other Home members.
c. Missionary members reporting to a Home do not give 3% of their income to the Common Pot or 1% to the FAF, and therefore are not eligible for FAF benefits, tool funds, or board-related services.
2. Failure by a Missionary member to report and tithe to their Home for any particular month will automatically disqualify that member from receiving the following month's Family publications. As with a Missionary member Home, failure by a Missionary member reporting to a Home to turn in a report and tithe for two consecutive months will automatically terminate their membership. In such case the Home should remove them from their personnel roster on their TRF. (The Home can later vote to reinstate a Missionary member providing they are fulfilling the requirements of Missionary members.)
3. Missionary members reporting to a Home are required to fellowship a minimum of once a month with the Home they are reporting to. If away for an extended period of time, they should keep in touch with the Home via phone, mail, or e-mail.
A Missionary member tithing to a Home may become their own Missionary member Home and tithe directly to WS under the following circumstances:
1. They have been a Missionary member tithing to a Home for a year.
a. The Rules and Clearance Council has the right to waive the one-year requirement under exceptional circumstances. For instance, if the Home that the Missionary member has been reporting to and working with moves to another city or country.
2. They have sent an application to become their own Missionary member Home to the Rules and Clearance Council, which has the authority to grant or deny permission.
If a Missionary member tithing to a Home is moving to another country or city, the Home of which he is a member is responsible to find a Home in the new location that will accept him as a Missionary member of their Home. If there is no Home in the new location, or the Missionary member has been attached to the previous Home for over one year, he can apply to the Rules and Clearance Council to become a Missionary member Home.
All witnessing activities by Missionary members reporting to a Home are under the auspices of the Home and are the responsibility of the Home. The Home is responsible for such matters as seeking approval before the member conducts outreach in another city where there is a Home, purchasing Family distribution products from an authorized Production Center for the member's distribution, just as they would for any member living in their Home.
1. Missionary members are eligible to receive all FD/MM/FM mailings from WS, and have MM access to the Family Members Only site. Missionary members reporting to a Home will have their own copy of WS mailings sent directly to them from the NPC.
a. The Home which the member is reporting to is required to send WS a monthly mailing fee to cover the cost of the mailings to the Missionary member(s) reporting to them. This mailing fee will be announced by WS.
If WS does not receive the mailing fee for a particular month, mailings for the Missionary member(s) will not be sent the following month.
b. In cases where it is not safe for a Missionary member to receive WS mailings at their own address, they may receive their copy of the mailings at the Home to which they report.
2. Since a Missionary member reporting to a Home is not a Home in themselves, they are not allowed to have a full Home library of older pubs. They are allowed to keep copies of the mailings which they receive directly from WS. They are also allowed to keep a copy of the MM version of InfoStore.
Missionary members reporting to a Home receive shepherding from the Home that they report to. They are not automatically eligible for board services, but if they feel the need to contact or communicate with Family leadership above their Home teamwork level, they have the right to contact their Regional desk directly.
In either case, the Missionary member would go through the "Procedures for Accepting New Disciples into a Family Discipleship Home" or "Procedures for Accepting New Disciples into a Missionary Membership Home," respectively.
1. The status of a Missionary member who reports and tithes to a Home may be withdrawn if the member violates, contravenes, or fails to fulfill the "Responsibilities of Missionary Members," or if a Missionary member on probation contravenes the terms of his or her probation. This is decided upon by a 2/3 majority vote of the voting members of the Home which the Missionary member reports to.
2. If the Home votes to withdraw a Missionary member's membership, it should inform the member of the reasons why, as well as inform the Regional desk of the status change. The Home may vote to allow the member to continue as an Active member or as a General member, should the member desire to do so.
