Taken captive in war I was brought to the king,
From a child I was taught to be wise in all things,
Babylon now is our home,
Through us the future is soon to be known

I remember the king had a dream,
He called his magicians and asked them what could it all mean;
But Daniel made known the king's thoughts,
The kingdoms of man would soon all come to naught

Opening the book of Solomon I understood the number of the coming years,
An angel came and gave the answer to my prayer, the vision was becoming clear,
I saw four kings falling in a line, a final one near the end of time,
When God will establish His Kingdom on earth

We refused to bow down to their image of gold,
So were cast in a furnace but God made us bold,
And He was with us in the flame,
We walked out unharmed and His might we proclaimed

All alone in the den of the lions
I sat forsaken for the envy of man,
But the God whom I serve has not ever failed me
And delivered me out of their vicious hands

Ever learning but they still don't know,
