JESUS TURNED THE WATER INTO WINE
Author(s): Aaron David

Well, I grew up in the western world before I left my home
At the early age of seventeen, I began to roam
So I went out and I hit the road to see what I could see
Of this noble edifice of Christianity

Chorus:
Jesus turned the water into wine [and that's fine]
But I wanna' know what I think I oughtta'
Who turned the wine back into water?

Now I believe that Jesus came to set the captives free
As long as I don't slap your cheek or kick you in the knee
Now love is supposed to be the rule and our guiding light
But I'm not gonna' be a fool and ask what you do at night

[Repeat Chorus]

Some folk don't believe in miracles, and lots of doubts are raised
But I don't see why they don't accept just what the Bible says
They say we come from sticks and stones and animals of some kind
So they dig up all these rocks and bones and it just blows my mind

[Repeat Chorus]

Some folk don't like to hear me sing, but I don't give a hoot
And there has been a time or two when I received the boot
But I recall that my Lord said, "If you want to set people free,
Then don't you be a bit surprised if you end up just like me!"

[Repeat Chorus]

Well, you may not catch the moral of this little song of mine
But you'd better watch your step now, if you're foolin' with the wine
And if you get invited to that party in the sky
If all you've got is water, then you won't get very high

[Repeat Chorus Twice]
