THE WEAVER
Author(s): Micah
Songbook: Compiled LJ Songs
KeyWords: Thankfulness,Praise,

I came to watch a weaver
As he slowly worked his craft
He pulled the strands there in his hands,
First this way then that,
And what had at first been empty
On the broad and barren loom,
Took on form and beauty
As the threads were pulled and groomed

I thought to ask him why
He chose the colors of the strands,
But silently he looked at me,
He had a master plan,
And what began a hollow span
Slowly grew in form,
Short and tight with shades of night,
Followed by the hues of morn,
And as I watched I understood
My days are meant to be
One thread upon another,
A living tapestry

Chorus:
I know the Master Weaver of our life
Is in control,
Of every joy and heartbreak and the care
Of every soul,
And if He wants to chose a weave
Other than the one we planned,
It can only be more beautiful
Coming from His loving hand

The lighter tones would cheer me
With their colors pure and bright,
But the deeper darker richness
Touched my heart and held my eyes,
How like the days of sunlight
And joy that we have known, seem to owe
Their warmth and beauty to our dark nights
All alone, so
Every day that passes I know is meant to be,
A day to trace and find my place in the Master's tapestry

[Repeat Chorus Twice]

It can only be more beautiful coming
From His loving hand [repeat]
