CHRISTIAN MAN
Author(s): Miguel
Songbook: Aaron David Songbook
KeyWords: Christmas,

One day while walking down the street,
A man with a Bible I happened to meet.
He told me about Jesus crucified.
I said, "Go away friend, I think you lied."

Chorus:
Maybe that Christian man was right.
Maybe I began to fight.
I should have heard what he had to say.
I shouldn't have laughed when he asked me to pray.

So I called up my girl, we were gonna have a real fine time.
So I went down to the store and bought some wine.
But the words that were spoken to me that day,
Were like a bell still ringing in my mind.

[Repeat Chorus]

Well, I never made it home,
And that night, in the street I began to roam.
Again I saw that Christian man,
Still preachin' with a Bible in his hand.

That night by my bedside I just cried.
I said "O Lord Jesus please come inside."
And that night Jesus Christ He came in.
That was the night my life did begin.

Now I know that Christian man was right.
Now I know that I began to fight.
Now I know the words that he had to say.
I shouldn't have laughed when he asked me to pray.

Now everybody that I see,
Gonna tell 'em what Jesus has done for me.
He'll give me the words that I need to say.
So please don't laugh when I ask you to pray.
