         1. I expect you, my leaders, to be idea people & think of things on your own--you're closer to the details! You're closer to the trees than I am. I have a general view of the whole forest & I can see where there are general needs or if there's a forest fire coming or what we ought to do with sickly areas of the forest, if there's a blight or things like that. But
you've got your nose up against local areas of the forest & local trees & you should be able to know what the local need is, the immediate need of your particular areas of responsibility. Therefore you should come up with time-saving, money-saving, personnel-saving & labour-saving ideas on those details!

         2. You folks ought to certainly be thinking at least about the work you're doing & how to save time & money & work & personnel, short-cuts, cut-downs, cut-offs in some cases, I shouldn't have to think of it all! So that's what I expect of you leaders: To do that sort of thing in your area of responsibility, whatever it may be.

         3. The best way to do business: To get things accurate & to get them done on time & do exactly what you're asked to do! Then if it's wrong, you're not to blame, or if it's too long you're not to blame, or if it's too short you're not to blame--if you just do what you're told.

         4. I believe in making plans, at least it gives you something to do while you're waiting for the Lord to tell you exactly what you are going to do! It at least gives you a little feeling of some kind of confidence & assurance that you've got
some idea of what to do, lacking any specific direct intervention of the Lord or contradiction by the Lord, which we have had a few times. But most of the time we have operated pretty much on common sense & reason & the wisdom God has already given us as far as our general operating methods & directions have gone. So I believe in having it even if we don't need it, rather than needing it & not having it.

         5. Yes, I'm going to take this tissue off the floor & shake it out & hope to shake all the dust & germs off & keep on using it, because I just don't believe in wasting things!--And you should be just as careful with every little thing.

         6. Let me tell you, you've got to value things, & most of all people!--Otherwise you're not fit to rule the Kingdom of God & God is going to hold you responsible for anything wasted!

         7. You may be mad at me for taking your time & disgusted with spending so much time on such infinitesimal insignificant little things, but that's why God could trust me with the Family to get it started & organise it & run it & still be runnin' it, & why I'm still tryin' to teach
you how to run it so you'll run it the way God has taught me how to run it, so it'll last as long as possible & accomplish as much as possible & the people will last as long as possible & the material will last as long as possible & the money will go as far as possible & the time will be stretched out as long as possible, 'cause we'll get more done in the same amount of time!

         8. So next time you think about throwing something away, remember the Ragman & that the Ragman would appreciate it, because if there's any Ragman that's in the business of saving time, people & money, it's God!

         9. Lord, help each one of us to be diligent & prayerful & careful about saving everything that needs to be saved, so we can have more time, more people, more money, more strength & more energy for thing that are really needed & really have to be done, so we can save souls most of all & save the World, or as much as we can, as many as we can.

         10. I can be a hard man when it comes to people who are loafers & spongers & lazy--& the Lord was too with the guy who buried his talent. You don't belong in the Lord's work if you haven't got the faith for God to support you. If you don't work at it & do everything you can to get your support & have the faith for God to do it, then of course He won't do it. He's not going to support you if you are lazy & you don't work at it & you're not trying everything you can to raise your support.

         11. The minute you start obeying & working, God will do His part without fail, He will bless.

         12. If we love Him & delight ourselves in Him & we work for Him faithfully & try to love others & help them, He'll do anything for us, anything!

         13. We ought to be tougher & work even harder in the Lord's Work than we did in the System! We should be more faithful for the Lord than in the world, & keep more accurate records for Him than for filthy lucre!

         14. For God's sake, whatever you do, learn how to keep appointments! Don't waste other people's time as well as your own. If you make an appointment, it is like a vow, keep it to your own hurt, but get smart & try not to make hurtful appointments! (Psa.15:4) Give yourself plenty of time. Don't go rushing there at the last minute. Don't be time-wasters, vow-breakers, appointment-failures & transportation-missers! Don't expect the whole World to wait on you & you not have to wait for anybody.
