         Kriya Systems, Inc., published by Simon & Schuster Software, USA. [Comment: This excellent typing tutor takes you through a series of step-by-step lessons to full touch-typing. Good for beginners as well as for touch-typists who wish to improve their speed. Can be installed for either Qwerty or Dvorak keyboard layouts.]

BUS CLE-01 CLE Accounting
         Course Content: (CLE Course Accounting 1, Century 21 Accounting by Swanson, Ross and Hanson) [Comment: This is a first-year accounting course. Students learn to keep various kinds of books for business purposes, such as sole proprietorship, a partnership, and a corporation. Students learn to use journals and ledgers to keep accurate records of various business activities, including sales and purchases by cash and credit. Also included are payroll records; special entries needed to close a fiscal period; making financial reports; inventory; handling petty cash and voucher systems. One exercise is for the student to keep books for a family. Also, students may wish to look into commercially available computer software used in accounting (such as Quicken for Windows).]

BUS CLE-02 CLE Record Keeping
         Course Content: (CLE Course, Practical Record Keeping and Bookkeeping textbook) [Comment: This is an introductory bookkeeping course that concentrates on basic procedures for routine business activities. It also covers business vocabulary, business math, problem-solving techniques, and short job simulations. This training is appropriate for small or family-operated businesses. Student and teacher manuals accompany the textbook.]
