NOTICES AND TESTIMONIES OF ANSWERED PRAYERS

Seeing each other through new eyes
From Renee (SGA), India:
Marie (see prayer request # 4) has been an extremely faithful childcare worker over the years and has carried a big load in the Home. Last month we found that she has a serious case of breast cancer. This came as a real shock to us adults in the Home, and made us stop and do some serious soul searching. We've been a team together for so long that we often see each other from a critical viewpoint, thinking that we know each other so well. So when we stopped recently to pray and hear from the Lord about Marie's sickness, He gave us some very touching and convicting counsel on the need to see each other as He does --with eyes of love and appreciation.

Prayer changes things
From Joan, Vietnam:
I want to thank everyone for praying for me (see Prayer List 48:38). When preparing to come to Vietnam, I discovered a lump in my left breast. I prayed against fear and worry, as I was aware that it could be cancer. When I got it checked by my gynecologist, I was surprised at her sudden panic. She immediately took me to a specialist in the same hospital, who also agreed that I should have the lump removed immediately. She recommended surgery, since I was to leave for Vietnam within a few weeks. When I prayed about it, the Lord gave me peace that I should not fear, that I should have the operation and then continue my preparations. I made a decision that even if it was cancer, I was not going to turn aside from going to this very needy field. The operation went well, and was free of charge because we had done CTP ministering at this hospital for a couple of years. PG!
Later, when I felt a similar sensation and lumps in the other breast, I decided to ask our worldwide Family to pray for me. Thank God! Since then the lumps and sensitivity have completely gone! Thank you so much for your prayers!
