ANSWERED PRAYERS
Asia:

1. Vietnam (PL 36:46): The Lord led us to a terrific house and touched the landlord's heart to let us pay two months in advance rather than a year! He also installed a voltage regulator, which is very needed, as the power supply is unstable with frequent power fluctuations and shortages. The house is located in a very good part of town, and is completely furnished!

2. Sarah (of Daniel) (PL 27:173): High blood pressure improving.

3. The Lord miraculously protected the pregnant mothers and babies who were exposed to German Measles, and none of them contracted the disease!

4. Richard (of Paul and Crystal): In answer to a prayer request that we sent to all the Homes in our area, the Lord healed Richard of pneumonia and cleared the fluid that was stored between his lungs. He is now gaining weight and stamina.

North America:

5. Joshua (7, of Titus and Charity) (PL 34:69): Mentally handicapped and deaf. This month, he said his first complete sentence on his own and is making progress in motor development!

6. Christina (baby, of Lalo and Ruth) (PL 36:28): Healed from eye infection.

7. Silas (of Lily) (PL 34:76): After being on the prayer list for hypertension, his blood pressure has gone down.

8. Michael Praymore (of Joy) (PL 30:144): "Before being put on the prayer list for heart problems, I was having frequent pains in my chest area. But since then, I haven't had any significant pain at all! For the last six months I haven't had any problems with my heart. Praise the Lord!"

9. James (baby, of Micaiah and Genty) (PL 36:62): "The Lord has continued to help baby James (3 months premature) overcome obstacle after obstacle. He weighed just under two pounds when born, but is now three pounds and off the ventilator. He's still in an incubator, where he will need to stay for at least another month and his condition is being closely monitored, as his little lungs still need to mature more in order for him to get stronger. So please keep praying."

10. Arthur (11, of Serena) (PL 36:61): "His neck, which was injured in a serious accident on a fair-ground ride, suffered only a stretched ligament rather than a torn one, which the doctors had predicted. His present condition is a total miracle, as the doctors expected paralysis, and are amazed that he is even alive!"

11. Dulce (of Rufus) (PL 29:128): After a two-year battle, her thyroid condition has now leveled out.

South America:

12. Lynn (PL 36:94): She is recovering quickly after having undergone emergency surgery due to a pelvic infection which resulted in the removal of her fallopian tubes and ovaries. She is feeling much stronger and should be back to full health soon.

13. Angelito (9 mos., of Bernardo and Clara) (PL 34:91): Down's Syndrome. He continues in good health, and the results of an electrocardiogram showed his heart is normal.

14. Daniela (3, of Maria Provisioner) (PL 34:94): Her hearing has improved by 70 percent and she no longer needs an operation.

15. Francisco (of Kitty) (PL 34:88): His heart has been functioning better.

16. Claire (YA) (PL 36: 112): Claire has gotten pregnant, which is amazing due to the problem she has with her uterus. The specialist said it's the best thing that could've happened to help her condition. Her pain is already much less.

17. Allen Ryan (8 mos., of Miguel and Meekness) (PL 36:100): "We were able to get an eye specialist to diagnose his eye, as well as obtain free medical care at one of the best hospitals in the area. Please continue to pray for his miraculous healing; that the condition preventing his eye from growing in size and hindering his sight will be remedied."

Europe and Africa:

18. Hannah (PL 34:126): Right leg and hip feeling much better, with no more pain at night.

19. Jan (PL 32:123): "For the last two months I was battling with an irritating eye infection. I prayed and I visited eye doctors on a few occasions, but nothing could be done to help. Then, one day it was gone completely! I couldn't explain why; all I could do was glorify the Lord for the miracle. Several days later, someone told me I was on the Prayer List. Then I knew I was healed because 'somebody prayed'!"

20. Spring (of Leyland) (PL 33:160): Healed from loss of hearing due to an allergic reaction to aspirin, and delivered from serious eye problems.

21. Talitha (of Anthony): No further problems with gall stones, and she has felt well throughout the first three months of pregnancy.

Pacific:

22. Meekness (of Martin) (PL 36:29): Recovering well from a major operation to remove cancer from her stomach and surrounding organs. Meekness writes, "Thank you, everyone, for being such mighty prayer warriors, and for fighting right with me in the spirit. The Lord has been miraculously helping me, and I was able to come home from the hospital." Martin continues, "It is such a miracle to see how healthy Meekness is now compared with how she looked when she entered the hospital two months ago! The Lord has done so many miracles in her healing and in providing for us at this time! The doctors all agree that God is protecting and healing her! We wanted to share the victory with all of you, our dear Family, and thank you for your part in it!"
         23. Gioia (of Titus) (PL 33:200): "Gioia had undergone minor surgery to remove a pre-cancerous lesion in her uterus. The operation went well; however, it seemed she still had a tiny fragment of the same lesion a bit deeper within the womb. To the doctor, this automatically meant a second operation. After praying about it, the Lord showed us to wait and take another test in a month. To the great amazement of the doctor, and as a testimony to all of the power of Jesus, the test results were all negative. The fragments that had been detected previously were gone! PTL!"

BACKGROUND OF MIGUEL'S ILLNESS (See prayer request #34)
Excerpts from a report by Juan, South America:
When we all gathered together to have our VS meetings, none of us had any idea that Miguel was afflicted with any type of sickness. As a matter of fact, Miguel is the type of person who has always been very healthy and strong.
One day while playing soccer with some of our young people, he fell and hurt his shoulder. As the days went by, his shoulder did not seem to be healing and he had a large bruise covering it. Since his shoulder could have been dislocated, he went to get it checked. The doctor became concerned when he examined the bruise, and after taking a blood analysis, it was discovered that Miguel had a serious problem. The platelets (which help the blood to clot so that there won't be any internal or external hemorrhaging) in Miguel's blood were very low. A healthy person has a platelet count of about 150,000 to 200,000; but in Miguel's case, his count was only 28,000. This set off alarm bells for the doctor, who explained that a low platelet count is one of the primary symptoms of leukemia.
Further tests four days later confirmed that Miguel had leukemia, and indicated that his platelet level had dropped to 18,000 in that short time. Miguel was critically ill and his physical state seemed to be deteriorating very rapidly with each passing day. The doctor told us something needed to be done immediately, or else he could die. We gathered the Home to seek the Lord and pray fervently for Miguel, laid hands on him, anointed him with oil, and claimed miracles.
Miguel's next test showed his platelet count was up to 50,000! In answer to our desperate prayers, the Sun of Righteousness had arisen with healing in His wings! Praise the Lord! We all know we witnessed a miracle and the Lord is answering our prayers, but the battle continues. We need to continue to pray desperately for Miguel, as it is a real fight each day as the Enemy tries to disprove the promises of healing the Lord has given him. We trust that He Who has delivered and does deliver, will
yet deliver. It's a wonderful thing to have faith and trust in the One Who made us!
(Update: Miguel remains in critical condition, and tests run in early September indicated that his platelet level had dropped again, to an all-time low of 11,000. Please keep him in your prayers!)
