ANSWERED PRAYERS

WS:
         1. From one of our pubs editors (PL 31:53): "Thank you so much for taking your time to pray for my back and neck. I am feeling much better and have had very few headaches since the prayer request was published for me. This healing is such a relief and makes it so much easier for me to do my work! The Lord hath done great things for me, thanks to your prayers, and I'm so glad!"

Asia:

3. Vietnam (PL 31:78): The Lord has miraculously protected us from any security problems despite one of our DO mailings being intercepted by local authorities and confiscated. He also worked it out for us to be able to get all our backlogged mail, over 40 videos, 1,000 posters, about 100 audio tapes, plus ML Volumes and follow-up materials.

4. Turkey (PL 30:74): We had a breakthrough in our local language translations and this month we were able to get 40 pages translated into Turkish!

17. Michael (9, of John and Rejoice) (PL 26:135): "Last year we sent in a request for Michael against chronic ear infections. WORLDWIDE
WS Pubs and Tools

30. For the production of the FTT tapes:
         >> That our young people will receive and compose inspired, Word-filled songs that will inspire their peers and help fill the need for more contemporary music.
         >> Our studio teams, as they work hard to record the songs that come in, and that the Lord will give them inspired musical arrangements that will be "hits."
         >> The production of the masters, and the duping and shipping of the tapes to the Homes by the Service Centers, and against any snags that would delay the tapes getting to the Homes.
         >> The Lord's supply of finances so that WS can continue to produce these tapes.

31. GP videos: The completion of the Treasure Attic special on the Life of Jesus in time for Christmas '96 distribution, as well as the completion of a Treasure Attic special on the Old Testament. 33. The printing of the CVC (Christian Vocational College) program. A System printer had agreed to print the copies of the CVC needed for all Homes worldwide for a very reasonable price, but then, at the last minute he backed out--perhaps due to some negative input from others about the Family. Please pray that the N.A. Service Center, which is researching other printing companies, will find one that will do it for a reasonable price. If we can succeed in having it printed by a System company, it will save our NPCs a lot of work, as well as provide a standard format for the students' program binders worldwide.

NOTICES AND TESTIMONIES OF ANSWERED PRAYER!

Healed of cancer!
From Abi (formerly Morningstar Kings):
It's been eighteen months since I was diagnosed as having cancer, and I am only now fully realizing what a miracle the Lord has done in healing me! (A prayer request for me was first published in PL 24:173.)
When I was first diagnosed as most likely having cervical cancer, I went to see a few different doctors who all gave the same recommendation: That I have a minor operation (biopsy) that would remove a small part of the cervix, which would then be examined to determine the extent of the cancer. There was also the "chance" that this in itself might remove all of it, depending on whether or not it was spreading. Although they considered this a minor procedure, I felt very desperate to do what the Lord wanted me to do, and it was only after a lot of prayer, specific prophecies and the Lord's leading that I went ahead with the operation.
The doctor removed a fair-sized tumor, which upon examination turned out to be malignant. The cancer was at a stage that it was already "invasive," which means it was starting to spread. The Lord's hand had been with the sweet doctor who operated (it was provisioned) and he had removed all the cancer that was visible. The doctor recommended strongly that I have a hysterectomy (surgical removal of the womb), giving me warnings that if I didn't, the cancer would likely return and my life expectancy would be 20 months.
Whenever I prayed about it, the Lord didn't give me anything about going ahead with this hysterectomy. It wasn't that He said no, He just never gave me any indication to do it, and the impression I got was why should I go through all the pain and danger (because every operation has its dangers) just as a preventative measure? Over the months my faith has been tested a lot. Since having the cancer, I have never recovered the physical strength I had before and have had a number of low points, physically and spiritually, as I would get very discouraged and frustrated with my inability to live and work at the pace I wanted to. I'm not very brave, and "not feeling well" so much of the time has been a big battle.
I wanted to find a doctor who could give me some wise counsel, but being in the EE it was hard to find a suitable doctor. A couple of doctors I did see lectured me about needing the hysterectomy. Finally in the past couple of months the Lord raised up a doctor who is very concerned and also really knows what he is doing. When he first looked over my medical papers he freaked out, to put it mildly! He could hardly believe that the doctor who had operated on me before had let me out without doing the hysterectomy! As he put it himself later, "The operation you had would not cure you!" We witnessed to him of the Lord's healing power but he was still very distressed, feeling that I was being completely foolish in refusing the operation. He started describing the tests that would be needed to check me out.
When he finally examined me, to his surprise, he didn't find anything wrong! Every test came out negative! I am clear! He exclaimed, "It looks like you just might be very lucky!" Of course I know it's not
luck but the Lord's miraculous healing touch! He acknowledged that "the Lord just might be doing it." Now I just need to return for check-ups every six months. Praise the Lord!
So though I am still battling with physical weakness and internal discomfort, the actual cancer is gone and the Lord has so lovingly kept me. It is just His loving touch! I have come to realize that being in a physically weaker state is accomplishing His purpose in other areas of my life and keeps me nestled in the place where He wants me. I'd appreciate your prayers, though, that I can yield to this and not get discouraged about it!
Thank You Jesus for the miracle! Glory to God, and many thanks to all those who have prayed with me through this battle! ILY!

From Anthony and Talitha, Belgium:
We wanted to share with you the marvelous miracle the Lord has wrought in little Timothy's life. (Timothy [3 mos.] was born with heart defects requiring open-heart surgery shortly after birth. He was also at high risk of brain damage due to water in his brain, and had a high level of sodium in his blood.) Timothy went to the hospital for another check-up recently, as he still had a leak in his heart on the last check-up and might have needed another operation if it had gotten worse. However, we were told that he is now in great health with no more medical needs and only has to go for a routine check-up in a year! Wow! Thank You Jesus!
         We are
so thankful for all your prayers as we know that was what pulled him through. God bless you--each one who faithfully interceded for him and us. Even the medical staff at the hospital knows this is an absolute miracle, because his case was quite complicated. Praise the Lord! He is in good health, is eating well, gaining weight, and looks beautiful!
Timothy has also been diagnosed as having Down's syndrome, although this was not evident at first. He is the sweetest little angel and is very alert and strong. We are told that he is developing remarkably well for a Down's syndrome baby--especially considering all he has been through in his little life. Praise God for His miracle-working power! Timothy has been a real testimony and witness to everyone of what the Lord can, and will, do for His children. We are also thankful for each of you, our precious brothers and sisters, who stood by us, and especially for those of you who sent beautiful words of encouragement and comfort from the Lord. It means more to us than we can say. God bless you all!

From Carmen, South America:
I'd like to thank everyone who prayed for my baby who was on the Prayer List (PL 27:287) a while back (he had a bad case of jaundice). Here is the testimony of the answer to those prayers.
I had a natural home delivery which was very beautiful, and in itself an answer to prayer! He's so good to us! From the first week, the baby turned yellow and developed a pretty bad case of jaundice. We had a doctor friend who became very concerned and recommended we get the baby a blood test as soon as possible. We had already sent in a prayer request, and the day after it was pubbed, I was changing the baby's diaper and his skin looked funny. It was white! (He had been dark yellow from head to toe.) I was so inspired! From one diaper change to the next, his skin had totally cleared up, and though it took several days longer for his eyes and face to clear up, the miracle was done! Thank You Jesus! It inspired and strengthened my faith and helped me sympathize with and pray desperately for all the precious parents who struggle with sick children! ILY! Thanks for your prayers!

From Peter, Aura and Gabriel, Philippines:
One of our catacombers, Aurora, after having a doctor's check-up, found that she had a goiter. Instead of taking the medicine, she asked the Home if we could pray for her, and decided to take a stand of faith and trust the Lord for her healing. At her next check up, the doctor was amazed to discover the goiter was gone!

From a Home in Thailand:
On our prayer day we made a detailed list of the needs of the Home, outreach and follow-up, and some worldwide requests. One of the prayer requests we had was for more clothes for those in the Home, as well as for use in our regular CTP ministries. Shortly afterwards, people began visiting the Home and donating clothing without us even asking. Some of them were people we had been trying to invite for a visit for a long time. When we took our specific requests before the Lord, He answered wonderfully--not only supplying the needed clothing, but also bringing over the sheep He knew needed to visit!

Signs in the Sky!
From Meekness, Europe:
The Lord's been doing many wonderful miracles toward my healing, thanks to everyone's prayers for me! When my request was sent out (PL 31:261), for a proper diagnosis, and relief from pain, due to tumors in my stomach and liver, I was suffering from fever, pain, frequent headaches, numb fingers, etc., and I was very weak. We had desperate prayer a few times. Each time we made that heavenly connection with the Lord in the spirit, I could feel strength being poured in. The Lord delivered me from this very weak stage, where I couldn't even straighten my body, and He's been so mercifully answering each of our prayers--the fever is gone, the headache is gone, my skin is turning back to a more normal color. I'm doing so much better in each area and feeling much stronger!
The other day while cooking dinner, I started feeling the pain and started feeling sick. I was also being attacked by fears and doubts, thinking, "Oh, well, I guess I do have cancer and by this time it's spreading all over my body and I'm going to die in a couple of months or so." I was miserable and felt so bad for having such little faith when the Lord has been showing me His healing power in so many ways. I had to go outside to dump the water from a pot, and as I stepped out the door, something supernatural happened.
I felt this very fresh air blowing, and as I breathed in, the pains in my body disappeared. When I looked up at the sky, there was a flash and the word "live" was written there in beautiful handwriting. Then the word "cancer" came up, in sort of crooked writing, but it all crumbled. I felt so much better as I came inside and was just fine the rest of the evening. What an encouragement!

The Fight of Faith!
From Crystal (of Paul), Thailand:
Eight-year-old Richard has had asthma off and on since he was very young. About a year and a half ago we moved to a seaside town, where his health improved and he was basically healed. Recently I was testifying to a Family visitor how well he was doing now. That very night he was hit with asthma. We knew it was an attack of the Enemy trying to snatch away his victory. We explained this to Richard, telling him to try to fight. What happened over the next hour was truly a miracle, as usually he would become quite distressed and upset when having an asthma attack.
We put on the "Sunbeams and Shadows" tape, and these songs seemed to be a springboard. He began singing, praising, praying, rebuking the Enemy and thanking the Lord for the victory. I could just feel the Enemy fleeing as Richard was so strong in the Spirit. Whether we sat with him or not, he continued non-stop. He began changing the words of little quote poems or songs to apply more: "1,2,3 the Devil is always after me. 4,5,6, he is always throwing sickness. 7,8,9, he misses every time. Hallelujah, Hallelujah, I'm healed." He went on and on at the top of his voice until his breathing became easier and he was able to fall asleep. God bless Richard, he fought through the Enemy's lies and gained the victory! Thank You Jesus for our precious kids, the princes and princesses of the future.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE LONG-TERM PRAYER LIST
As a reminder, we thought it might be helpful to include a brief summary of the main topics covered in the last long-term list (PL 25). Hopefully this will come in handy to jog your memory in praying for these topics in case you're having prayer time and PL 25 is not available. If you wish, you can even copy down this list of topics to carry with you so you can pray for them in situations when you can't have the Prayer List with you, such as when out in town or taking public
transport, etc. However, this is not meant as a substitute for PL 25, so please do try to refer to PL 25 for the specifics of each request whenever possible.
In order to make sure that the prayer requests from the long-term list are not forgotten, you may want to try praying for at least two requests from the long-term list every day, along with some of the requests from this Prayer List and your Continental Prayer List. This way, your Home would be praying for all the long-term requests regularly. Thank you for your faithful prayers! God bless you!
