For 14 years and up. Although JETTs are not permitted to read the Prayer Lists on their own, you parents and teachers may read it with them during Word time, or share prayer requests with them when having prayer vigil. Selected prayer requests, answers to prayer and testimonies of answered prayer may be read to younger age groups as well, at your discretion. Please be prayerful and use wisdom in what you share with JETTs or children. Be sure to present prayer requests in a positive spirit, explain things and answer any questions they may have.

Dearest Family,
         God bless you! We love you! Thank you so much for continuing to desperately pray for the many requests from our worldwide Family. This is not only such a great comfort for each person whose request is prayed for, but as we unite together in prayer for these requests the Lord is doing many miracles of healing and winning tremendous victories! As Dad said, "Desperate prayer that is full of faith is the most powerful weapon we have, and can radically alter any situation or heart" (MOP 97:83). So please keep wielding this very powerful weapon of prayer which He has entrusted into our frail hands, and through this
He will keep healing, blessing and winning! Praise the Lord!

         Mama asked that this song be included in this edition of the Prayer List, as she felt it might be a real encouragement and help to you, our precious Family. Its called "You Heal Me," and is sung to the same tune as the hymn "He Leadeth Me":

YOU HEAL ME
Verse 1
         You heal me, Lord, O blessed truth,
         Your mighty Word renews my youth;
         By Your Own powr from sickness free,
         O precious Lord, You heal me.

Chorus
         You heal me, You heal me,
         By Your Own Word You heal me.
         Your faithful witness I will be,
         For by Your Word You heal me.

Verse 2
         Sometimes through testing times I go,
         Dark seems the way, and full of woe;
         But in the furnace though I be,
         O great Physician, You heal me.

Verse 3
         Ill live for You, 'til all have heard
         The mighty power of Your Word.
         Its still the same, the blind now see,
         And demons at Your presence flee.

Verse 4
         For You, Lord, reign within my heart;
         Your Love I cherish and to all impart.
         All praise be Yours eternally,
         For You, my Savior, heal me.

         The Lord anointed those talking with the media in Austin and a tremendous witness was noised abroad, with almost 100% of the articles and radio and television broadcasts being positive! Some local Christians who helped to house some of the Family members later confided that this was the first time they had ever seen the local media say anything positive about the Lord!

God bless Pablo, who gave many years of his life in the Lords service, faithfully helping to translate the Wonder Working Words into Spanish and winning many of his fellow Latins to Jesus. He will be remembered for his great love for Dad and the Words and for his musical talents, happy loving spirit and the affection he showed to others!
         We love you, dear Kerenina and children, and we know that the Lord will comfort and encourage you, draw nigh to you and make His loving Presence more real in your life than ever before. Though we know being separated from your dear mate and father is difficult, we can all rejoice that Pablo is now free from the sickness that caused him such distress and is able to be with Grandpa and help you and all of His children from the Spirit World! "Thank You for Thy Spirit, for all Thy ministering spirits, all Thy angels and all our fellow laborers and fellow servants, Lord, who are in the Spirit World helping us. We thank You, Jesus, for every ministering spirit. Hallelujah! Thank You Jesus for Thy mercy to us" (ML#606:8).

         O, wonderful story of deathless Love;
         Each child is dear to that Heart Above;
         He fights for me when I cannot fight;
         He comforts me in the gloom of night;
         He lifts the burden, for He is strong;
         He stills the sigh and awakes the song;
         The sorrow that bowed me down He bears
         And loves and holds me because He cares.

         Let all who are sad take heart again,
         We are not alone in our hours of pain;
         Our Father stoops from His throne Above
         To soothe and quiet us with His Love.
         He leaves us not when the storm is high,
         And we have safety, for He is nigh.

TESTIMONIES OF ANSWERED PRAYER!
Elizabeth Greys Homegoing:
         Thank you so much for your prayers for dear Liz, which the Lord answered wonderfully! It truly was a beautiful testimony of the Lords Love and care for her.
         A while ago Liz went into the hospital for observation and care. While there, her son and daughter, who are ex-members and previously antagonistic, were able to visit her from overseas. The Lord did a real miracle and the visit went very smoothly. Then a little while later Liz took a turn for the worse. Though she was very weak in body, Liz was still very strong in spirit, and asked if she could return home.
         As this was a little sensitive, in that we werent sure how well the hospital staff and doctors would receive this, we asked teams in two different locations to pray at the same time and ask the Lord to show whether she should stay at the hospital or if we should bring her home. Both teams received almost the exact same prophecies, indicating that Liz was actually hanging on in this world until she was back home with her loved ones and family, like the patriarchs of old.
         We told Lizs doctor about her desire to be back home, and he agreed, saying that he was very happy we had decided to do this, and that if it was his mother he would do the same. Liz came back to the Home, and for the most part she rested and slept. She seemed to experience very little pain, and although her condition steadily worsened, she remained coherent till the very end (a week after she returned), when she peacefully went to be with the Lord.
         The Lord really did make it easy for her, and we are so happy that she is now safe and happy, Home in Heaven with Jesus and dear Dad, and all of our other precious Family loved ones who have gone on before! Thank You Jesus!

From Sara (YA), North America:
         On February 21st, 1995, I was admitted to a hospital in Houston on the verge of death. Half of my body was paralyzed, my lungs were collapsing, and none of the doctors could figure out what was wrong with me. The disease that I had was so rare that the doctors had a very hard time finding out what was wrong, until finally the Lord did a real miracle and brought along a sweet Pakistani doctor, a Christian, who was able to find out what was wrong and prescribe the necessary treatment.
         As a result of this disease, I pretty much lost all control over my body. My muscles deteriorated, and the doctors said that it would probably take several months to regain some of my basic skills and at least one year for me to get back to normal. Yet every time the local Family would gather to pray for a specific thing, that thing would get better. When I was having a difficult time eating, the Family would pray for me and I would be able to eat. When certain muscles werent functioning properly, the Family would pray for those muscles and I would begin to make progress in that area.
         The doctors have been very surprised at how fast I have been recovering, and I am way "ahead of schedule" as far as what I am able to do. I can now walk unaided, which is something they werent expecting for several more months. All of this is in answer to specific prayers. There were so many complications that "could" have happened or things that could have come up, but the miracle of healing that the Lord has done in my life is just thata total miracle! Each day that goes by I am so thankful for the miracle and gift of life that the Lord has given me, and for each precious moment that I have to give and receive love from every person that I come in contact with.
         (
Editors note: Make sure to read the full story of Saras healing and the many miracles the Lord did in an upcoming HOPE magazine!)

From Ben, Michael and Crystal, North America:
         A year ago, 10-year-old Johnny in our Home had twenty-three warts. Eight months later these had multiplied to over forty! As you can imagine, we were pretty desperate. They were all over his fingers and knees. Our OC group prayed desperately for the Lord to heal Johnny, and within a month they were all gone! Thank You Jesus!

From Harvest Gold, North America:
         Since the request for all those suffering with migraine headaches has gone into the Prayer List, mine have been much less frequent! One day I did get one, and decided Id better rest for a few minutes. As I lay down I took a sweet moment with the Lord and said, "I love You so much, Lord, and just want to do Your will," and instantly the headache was gone!

From Renee, North America (recently returned from Asia):
         I have been an insulin-dependent diabetic for eight years. When diabetics want to get pregnant, they are encouraged to plan their pregnancy, making sure their glucose levels are stable before they get pregnant. This is important for the health and correct growth of the young fetus. Otherwise there could be birth defects, which are more common in babies of insulin-dependent diabetic women. Getting pregnant was a surprise for me, and when I suspected I was pregnant, I was a full-time cook at a YA seminar and wasnt as tuned in as I could have been to keeping my glucose at the right level. Once my pregnancy was confirmed, of course I did my best to be very diligent and careful with my diet, exercise, saw a doctor, etc., but I did have times when I felt quite worried and concerned about how the baby would turn out.
         Then my shepherdess put me in the Prayer List as my pregnancy was "high-risk" (PL 22:178), and my Home also scheduled an evening to have prayer for me, committing the pregnancy and baby to the Lord. We also took time to hear from the Lord, and He gave many beautiful promises about how He would keep the baby and me, etc. (In our Home when someone gets pregnant, we take some time to commit the pregnancy to the Lord. Again, a few weeks before the delivery, we have another special prayer and hearing from the Lord to help the mommy prepare for her delivery and new baby. Id like to recommend it, as its very strengthening and faith-building.)
         This was my third pregnancy and I am now 36 years old. I had a wonderfully easy nine months, exercised regularly, was able to eat just about anything, went out provisioning, on outreach and follow-up often, and even travelled to a new field fairly late in my pregnancy. Upon arriving in my new field, I had very good medical care by a sweet Jewish doctor who specializes in "high-risk" pregnancies. And though the doctor initially thought that I would have to have a Caesarian, this delivery went smoothly, and in one contraction, three pushes, Sharon Rose was born, beautiful and perfectly formed! This was an answer to prayer, as my previous two deliveries required several hours of exhausting pushing! During the labor they had put little monitors on my tummy to be sure the baby was okay, as my doctor said if there was any problem at all he would operate, but there were none at all!
         After the birth, when she was examined by the pediatrician the next day, they noticed a slight heart murmur and said that her blood was too thick. So they came to me wanting to thin her blood and also do a special ultrasound to be sure her heart had no problems (as heart problems are not uncommon in babies of diabetic mothers). I asked them to wait on thinning the blood as I wanted to give the Lord a chance to work, and telephoned two Homes in the area to ask for prayer. Two hours later when they retested her, her blood had gone down to an acceptable level and they said she was fine, and the tests done on her heart all came out clear. Thank You Jesus!
         So the Lord marvelously answered, much more than I can even say here, and I want to testify of His goodness in giving me such a precious gift of Love. We named her after Jesus, the rose of Sharon, as He truly blessed and kept us in every way, praise His Name!

From Mark (of Mary), Pacific:
         The Lord has answered our prayers for healing and against discouragement because of my affliction (multiple sclerosis). I havent been hit with discouragement since the prayer request came out, and I have been encouraged by all that I have been learning as a result of battling this affliction. The power of positive praise is seeing me through! Im also feeling better and am able to walk much better recently, whereas I could barely walk at one point.

From Joy (TS), Europe:
         When we first went to France, I took my 3-year-old daugher, Patty, who has cerebral palsy (PL 25:175) to a visit with a neuro-pediatrician. He wasnt very positive, saying that she would probably need years of specialized education, special check-ups, x-rays, etc., because cerebral palsy is a serious and dehabilitating disease.
         But the Lord is still on the throne and prayer changes things! Within five weeks her eyesight had improved and He opened the needed doors for us to visit a number of specialists. We took Patty to visit a special orthopedic re-education center where the nurse marveled at her behavior, and commented that it was obvious she had had a lot of input. A childrens psychologist who examined Patty said that she is a well-balanced, secure, outgoing little girl. The psychologist testified that it is obvious shes had a lot poured into her, and said that it didnt look like Patty needed "any special education" except maybe to socialize with other people.But then added, "Patty must already be doing this as shes not anti-social."
         In short, from what looked like years of special education, all she actually needs now is some therapy twice a week until she walks by herself.And that might be within six months to a year.
         This is a big victory and testimony which I owe to Dad and Mama. They taught me how to know and love Jesus, and also how to trust Him and have faith in His Word. All this would never have happened without all the good training I received in the Family.

From Miracle (formerly Cielo) (TS), North America:
         Its been three months since my mate, Gabriel, graduated. He had been on the Prayer List over four years, battling non-Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer, a leukemia of the blood, bone marrow and lymph nodes. We discovered this only when we returned to the US in 1989. It was traced back to his army service while in Vietnam and his exposure to Agent Orange (a strong, cancer-causing defoliant dropped from aircraft and used to strip the jungle of all plant life to expose the Vietcong and their hiding places).
         While on the field in India, Gabe would get sick with high fevers every three to six months. At first I thought it was due to the mosquitos so prevalent in the East, but when it happened so often I knew something was wrong. Though we did all we could to get Gabe checked, going to the best hospital in southern India where tests were done, the cancer didnt show up. Though Im not sure why we didnt find out about his condition sooner, maybe the Lord didnt allow us to know so that we would stay on the field for a few more years, as otherwise we mightve been tempted to worry and go home when it wasnt the Lords time yet. Gabriel was also very much in love with India and never wanted to leave.
         During the last six months on the field his health had degenerated so much that the brethren felt it would be best to go home to find out exactly what was wrong. When we arrived in the US in July 1989, Gabe was carried off in a wheelchair as he couldnt even walk anymore. When we finally got the proper diagnosis, it was a shock, especially when we found out that his case of Lymphoma was the worst that hospital had seen in years. Doctors immediately removed several tumors, including one that had destroyed his pelvic bone, leaving him crippled. But the cancer was so widespread that they said that if he had waited any later to begin treatment he would have gone into a coma. Because of this, the head nurse told me I should prepare to be a widow, and the doctors gave Gabe just six months to live! In spite of this bleak prediction, the Lord, in answer to desperate prayers, tacked more years onto Gabes life, and helped him to father two more children! Praise God!
         Although Gabe had chemotherapy for 1-1/2 years, we know it was only the power of God and the continual fervent prayers of the Family and friends that brought the miracles of healing that astounded the doctors! As Dad said, "If the Lord wants to take you, nothing the doctors try to do is going to help." Although Gabes faith was to take the treatment, he always made it clear that it was only God that could heal and Gabe gave Him all the glory. When his pelvic bone grew back and formed a new socket, a medical impossibility, even the
doctors acknowledged it was a miracle!
         A year and a half after being first diagnosed, Gabe had one small tumor left in his abdomen. Everything else had cleared up, he could walk again, and we praised the Lord for His goodness! The doctors said the cancer was in remission, but we acknowledged it as the Lords mercy! This kept us desperate and the Lord used Gabes afliction to keep us close to Him and to help us to keep searching our hearts to work on the different areas in our lives that needed attention. It also caused us to be more unified and diligent in our shepherding of our children, and gave us a closer walk with Jesus and greater love for His Word.
         During this time Gabriel had more energy than most of us in the Home! It was so amazing! He was constantly testifying how the Lord raised him up from his deathbed and gave him new life. He had deep compassion on anyone walking with a cane or walker, as he had used both on the road back to recovery, and he would immediately start witnessing to them of how the Lord helped him. Hed listen to their story and encourage them and always end with a witness.
         During his entire sickness, the Lord spoke to both our hearts about being more thankful for good health and for each other, and He used it to humble and break our hearts and draw us closer to Him. This sickness made us so thankful for the Family, as having Gabriel on the worldwide Prayer List was probably one of the reasons he lived 5-1/2 years longer after his initial "six-months-and-no-longer" diagnosis.
         The thing that touched me so much about Gabe was the faith and trust he had in the Lord, because I knew how much he wanted to live. I knew how it hurt him not to be able to get up and help with the children, to be able to play with the baby, to run with the boys, to be a blessing in outreach and around the Home! He was such a prayer warrior, and even when he couldnt do anything physically anymore, he was still actively fighting in the Spirit as our Homes prayer warrior.
         He wasnt perfect, and I can see how his sickness brought us both down a long road of breakings to get us to a point of dependency and submission to the Lorda point that we werent at yet, but needed to be. Yet, he was such an example to me of relying on the Lords strength, bearing his sickness like a soldier, committing his pain to the Lord, utterly putting his trust in Jesus, knowing that Jesus was in control. He was positive and full of faith and never spoke doubt about his healing. Even our many friends and local contacts, when they heard that Gabe went to be with the Lord, were surprised. For even though Gabe had looked sick, he never acted it.
         It wasnt until I heard it out of his
own mouth about three weeks before he went to be with the Lord, that he really was ready and willing and knew that it was his time to go Home, that I believed that the Lord now wanted to take him. Up to that point we believed together that the Lord could still raise him up. But when it became clear that it wasnt the Lords will to heal Gabriel in this life, he accepted it with dignity and beauty and with an expectancy that reminded me of a little boy who could hardly contain his delight about a soon-coming trip to see his beloved family! How different it was to hear him talk with visiting friends and relatives so relaxed and with obvious anticipation about going to Heaven.
         About two weeks before he went to be with the Lord, we decided to tell the children that "something beautiful was going to happen." We shared very positively how Jesus wanted to take Daddy Home, how he was going to Heaven to get our Heavenly mansion ready for us all, and he was going to have a special job working for Jesus in Heaven! We had gathered all the oldest together, from the 7-year-old on up, and they took it very well. They had questions and some tears, but also were excited for Daddy and his soon-to-come meeting with Jesus. Lily, our oldest, asked, "Daddy, are you excited?" and Gabe answered, "I will be if I know you wont be sad." She said, "Daddy, Im really happy for you!" and she really meant it. We let them pour out and ask any question that might be on their hearts, which they did, such as, "Why doesnt Jesus heal you, Daddy?" I was so thankful that the Lord gave us this precious time together with the children, to be able to openly talk about it with Gabe present himself, so he could answer them with such honesty, faith and conviction. How beautiful it was to see the childrens faith so strong and real. They took it much better than expected and better than I!
         The day before Gabe passed away I read a
Daily Might that was a very big encouragement to me, about how death is like a butterfly breaking out of his cocoon. This really applied, and I read it to Gabe. The next morning when we opened the doors to his room, which looked out to the front lawn, the front garden was full of butterflies and moths, some of them all over the screen door! I knew that this was a sign from the Lord that He would take Gabe Home that day. Someone had also had a vision the night before that Jesus came Himself to pick up Gabe and take him Home.
         After I shared this with Gabe, I kissed him and he grabbed my hand and looked as though he wanted to say somethingbut since he couldnt, he just stared at the picture of Jesus at the end of his bed. A few moments later he peacefully passed on. Though it was initially hard to believe and saddened me for a moment, when I realized his pain and suffering were finally over, I was so happy for him and thankful, that I started praising the Lord with the others in the room! He was now safe in the arms of Jesus!
         Many people had dreams of Gabe fighting alongside us in spirit. One hour after he went to be with the Lord, a brother in the Home rushed into the room where I was sitting to tell me he had a dream of Gabe walking in the backyard smiling and looking healthy and well. He said to this brother, "Tell everyone Im really happy now." This was so beautiful of the Lord to encourage us like that.
         The day after he went to be with the Lord, I got a call from Gabes brother, Bud, a very active Christian and school teacher, saying a "miracle had happened." Out of the blue, he got a call from his lawyer informing him that all charges against him had been dropped, these were ones filed against him by the family of a 16-year-old girl who had tried to falsely charge him with child abuse. This definitely was a case of religious persecution and Gabe had been very burdened for his brother, praying for him often, and was very concerned. So when Bud explained what had happened, I said, "Do you know why this happened?" "Why?" he asked. I replied, "Your brother! He was so concerned for you and was just asking for you the other day! This was probably one of the first things he took care of when he went to Heaven, because he was so burdened for you." It was so thrilling to see how fast Gabe went to work for his brother on the other side!
         My 7-year old daughter, Priya, took it the hardest when Daddy left. The night he graduated, she was very restless and wanted to sleep in my room with me. She put a mattress on the floor and slept there and I had this feeling Gabe was going to do something special for her to comfort her. Sure enough, the next morning when she woke up, the cat was curled up next to her purring, which the cat never does! I felt Daddy had sent the cat upstairs especially for her so when she woke up she was so happy and surprised. I told her Daddy sent the cat to let her know he was with her, which made her very happy.
         Its been a big adjustment for me not having a loving mate, and it gets lonely, but Im learning to go to Jesus for my comfort and love and Im seeing how Hes my dear Husband. More and more Im looking forward to my quiet times with Jesus, and my Word time. Prayer has become a vital part of my life, and my walk with the Lord is deepening, thank You Jesus!

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE LONG-TERM PRAYER LIST
         As a reminder, we thought it might be helpful to include a brief summary of the main topics covered in the last long-term list (PL 25). Hopefully this will come in handy to jog your memory in praying for these topics in case youre having prayer vigil and PL 25 is not available. If you wish, you can even copy down this list of topics to carry with you so you can pray for them in situations when you cant have the Prayer List with you, such as when out in town or taking public
transport, etc. However, this is not meant as a substitute for PL 25, so please do try to refer to PL 25 for the specifics of each request whenever possible.
         In order to make sure that the prayer requests from the long-term list are not forgotten, you may want to try praying for at least two requests from the long-term list every day, along with some of the requests from this Prayer List and your Continental Prayer List. This way, your Home would be praying for all the long-term requests regularly. Thank you for your faithful prayers! God bless you!
