Dear Family,
GOD BLESS YOU! We love you and thank the Lord for you and your prayers, love, dedication, faith and trust! As the old saying goes, "Faith is to believe what we do not see, and the reward of this faith is to see what we believe!" (MOP 31:205) Your faith and prayers have won mighty victories around the World since the last Prayer List, some of which are listed below. PTL!
But before we list the specific answers to prayer, here's an inspiring poem from YA Carmela Youngblood on faith and trust. She wrote this while experiencing pain from a pinched nerve in her back, a condition she has been suffering for several months:
TRUSTING!
What is faith?--It is trusting!
Trusting that what happens,
Is for me planned.
Trusting that somewhere up the Road
I'll understand.
Trusting even when I cannot see
The answer to prayer.
Trusting that through any and all storms,
I'm in His care.
Trusting that the Lord's always here,
Not just when the weather's fair.

The prayer requests can be used in conjunction with PL 13, the more long-term list of prayer requests which we published a few months ago.
Many of the answered prayers which follow have been mentioned in the FUN over the past two months, but we're including them here for a reminder of how your fervent effectual prayers have worked miracles around the World!

(Some of the answered prayers listed below were not mentioned as prayer requests in past Prayer Lists, but were prayed for locally. We've included them here for your encouragement, and to glorify the Lord for His marvellous faithfulness in answering prayer! Please remember to use wisdom and discretion in what you share with younger children.)

1. (From Mama:) Dad seems to be getting much stronger now, and is not nearly as "wobbly" when he walks. He's having fewer dizzy spells and is much more steady on his feet. His eyes, which he was having a serious problem with for a few weeks, are almost back to normal now, and his shoulders are almost healed. All these things are certainly an answer to your desperate prayers for him. Even when sometimes you don't know all of the details, the Lord is wonderfully fulfilling what He said in prophecy about Dad getting stronger and stronger as the battle progressed, and being used more and more by the Lord to lead this great fight. Hallelujah!
(Worldwide:)
2. Victory in Barcelona (PL 13:92): The court in Barcelona declared the brethren innocent of all charges! If they had been convicted of the fraudulent accusations, the Family Members involved would have faced up to 203 years in prison in all. The Spanish media gave extensive coverage to the court's findings, and ever since the positive verdict in our case, much of their coverage has been quite favourable. Most major newspapers published articles on us and beautiful pictures of our children singing on the steps of the Ministry of Justice. Headlines included ones such as: "The Absolved COG Call the Anti-Cult Groups Nazis," and they called the judge's decision "a verdict in favour of tolerance!"
3. Victories in France (PL 12:75): The minors judge decided to return all of our children to their parents only one week after he had told the parents that he had no intention of releasing them, and that if he had his way, he would take the babies too. A miraculous change of heart and answer to prayer! The press conference was a success, and resulted in dozens of favourable articles mentioning the release of the children and exposing our principal enemy in France--ADFI. (The Associated Press also did an article which was picked up in other parts of the World.) We're now launching a counterattack on ADFI, the French anti-religion group, which some of the media have dubbed "the new inquisitors!"
4. Media multiplies our message (PL 13:75): In recent months, our full message has gotten out via the media as never before! Even prior to the onslaught of the Argentina-related media storm, we had articles published on us in Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Poland, Russia, Bulgaria, England, Denmark, Spain, the U.S., Peru, and other countries, and our press conferences have been very fruitful.
In the U.S. we had a very favourable front-page article in the Washington Post. In Mexico we also had a full-page article in a large newspaper, one of the best articles ever written on the Family in Mexico. The Family is mentioned as an integral part of the evangelisation going on in Russia in an IHT article, and is listed in a positive and factual way, right along with Jimmy Swaggart, Pat Robertson, Campus Crusade for Christ, as well as other NRMs (New Religious Movements). In a BBC radio interview in England we got to face one of our main enemies there, as well as appearing on one of the most popular TV shows in South America! PTL!
5. In Rosario (PL 12:79), our lawyer informed us that the Appeals Court has acquitted five brethren of all charges against them! And in another city, where we also had a case pending, the judge closed the investigation on us on Aug. 17th.
6. Judgements against our enemies (PL 13:77):
--The elderly Japanese tycoon who largely financed the persecution of the Family in Japan last year became seriously ill and needed to have an operation. He did not recover well and is now very weakened, both physically and mentally, and has lost a lot of his influence. His heirs are fighting for his money and it doesn't seem that he is completely in control of his mental abilities.
--The manager of the institution in Sydney where our Homes' younger kids were taken after the 1992 raid has been referred to the police on possible charges of fraud and abuse. This lady is the one who wouldn't let our kids read their Bibles, told us that they would be kept there for a year, and lied to us about her involvement in placing the protection order, among other things.
--Senator Maceda, a bitter enemy in the Philippines, was humiliated when he tried to stir up bad publicity against the Sultan of Brunei in order to further his own career. The local media there are calling Maceda "a pimp," and the Senate Ethics Committee will be looking into the affair to see whether or not Maceda misused his privileges.
--In Argentina, the top police officer who was responsible for the raid on one of our Homes a few years ago got demoted and stripped of his rank due to an accusation against him (and six other officers who were also involved in our case) for drug trafficking and protecting some drug lords. This man was quite mean and rude during the raids, as well as very vocal in his accusations against us, and he has now been totally humiliated and is facing up to 30 years in jail.
--Pilar Salarrullana, one of our bitterest enemies in Spain and the author of several anti-cult books, has decided to quit her fight against cults. A news article reported that she has spent thousands of dollars in lawyers' fees to pay for 23 lawsuits filed against her. Besides political and economic reasons, she said her decision was also based on the fact that we were acquitted!
--In Spain there has also been a lot of criticism against the Mossos (the police who mounted the operation against the Barcelona Family), accusing them of being political police, and labour unions have accused the director of the Catalan police of being a Nazi.
--CAN deprogrammer Rick Ross, who acted as an advisor to the ATF in Waco, and appeared with Deborah and Mene on the Geraldo Show, was recently indicted in the U.S. Along with two accomplices, he has been charged with unlawful imprisonment of a young man who was kidnapped in the Seattle area in 1991.
--The Philippines Justice Department is going ahead with an extradition order for Priebe.
7. Insights on our enemies and their plans (PL 13:84): Tremendously helpful information on our enemies and their evil devices and plots, such as "Operation Moses" to try to destroy the Family in Europe.
8. New lawyers (PL 13:70, 87) in several areas, some of whom are newly saved and really on fire to help us! Many of our present lawyers have also been strengthened by the attacks against us in France and Argentina, as they've seen firsthand the worldwide anti-Family conspiracy we've been telling them about. The Lord has strengthened and anointed them, given them wisdom, kept them healthy and safe, and one even walked away from a car accident unscathed, although his car was a total loss. He's also blessed their practices and put in their hearts an even greater love for His Family than ever before.
9. "Consider the Poor" ministries prospering (PL 13:51): In areas where we've gone to minister to the poor, help the aged, sick or prison inmates, the recipients have been very sweet and thankful. And we've often been surprised by top officials showing up at the scene to comment on our work, or nationwide TV and radio networks unexpectedly arriving to interview us. The Lord has used some fairly small and seemingly insignificant opportunities to raise up friends, support and recommendations, as well as getting out His Message to the needy, and physical and spiritual help to those desperately in need of it.
10. Worldwide witnessing outreach at conferences and seminars (PL 13:52) such as the UN Conference on Human Rights, the European Seminar on NRMs, the World Parliament of Religions, and other global gatherings!
11. Favourable contact with CUT (PL 13:76): A Family team recently established contact with the Church Universal and Triumphant, another persecuted group, which is based in Montana. Both the teens and officials were very friendly, describing our teens and YAs as "full of light," and we even had a personal meeting with church leader Elizabeth Clare Prophet before departing. She commented that we were the first Christian group ever to meet with her that was not judgmental of her and their doctrines, and she was very interested in us and impressed by our teens.
We also got to meet with the top leadership of another church denomination with worldwide membership, had a very positive reception, and were invited back.
12. New friends met after Waco tragedy (PL 12:76): The Waco tragedy has become a rallying point for people outraged at religious persecution and has drawn many new friends to us.
13. Survivors of the Waco holocaust (PL 12:133): The truth about Waco is coming out more daily, with some of our close friends being instrumental in speaking up against what happened and the cover-up that followed. The Lord is helping us encourage and feed those who are daring to stand up against religious persecution, and He is giving the Davidians' lawyers and supporters more boldness and fight.
14. Expert witnesses and friendly professionals (PL 13:89): The Lord has raised up several favourable sociologists, psychologists and theologians to defend the Family, some of whom have even stayed in our Homes for up to a week to study and observe us. They were very impressed by our children, teens and Family Members, have written glowing letters of reference and affidavits, and have even testified on our behalf in press conferences!
15. Our GP Statements (PL 13:32) continue to work in the lives of those who read them, converting formerly antagonistic people into friends and drawing other friends closer than ever. One friend was so impressed by our Statements that he commented, "I have the impression that they were prepared by a professional journalist who has carefully researched the field in order to present the Family's ideas to the general public!" In some countries, every Home visited their local authorities to get our Statements to many important people, bearing great fruit.
16. Mass mailings of our literature have gone out to thousands of addresses around the globe.
17. WS writer who had heart problems (PL 11:95) went for a check-up and found that his heart is now fine.
18. Video Ministry (PL 11:100 and PL 13:36): " Treasure Attic" #3 and #4 and "Fantastic Friends" #1 have been completed. Scripting of the Endtime Video is finished and filming has begun.
19. Children's DO Video Series (PL 13:35): The first four hours of the series have been completed and will be on their way to you soon!
(Australia:)
20. Two months ago we prayed for our friend, M., who has been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. On a recent trip to the doctor, he gave her a clean bill of health and told her that she was no longer listed as "terminal" on her health record!
(Asia:)
21. Sarah of Simon (PL 12:118) gave birth to healthy twin boys.
22. Victories in sensitive situation in India (PL 12:120), and ex-members are increasingly favourable.
23. No further development in potential security situation (PL 12:124) involving antagonistic foreigners contacting live-outs and trying to locate DO Homes in one country.
24. "Consider the Poor" Ministries in India (PL 12:129) have grown dramatically over the past months and are prospering in many cities.
25. The political situation in India (PL 11:192) has stabilised and the rioting has completely died down.
26. Thai James (PL 11:195) is feeling much stronger.
27. Beautiful new housing (PL 13:68) for two Homes in Thailand.
28. Miraculously the U.S. decided not to declare Pakistan a "terrorist state" (PL 12:112), greatly benefitting the Family's ministries there.
29. The Lord has raised up two Vietnamese friends (PL 12:113) who are now translating and proofreading Family pubs in Vietnamese.
30. The persecution in the Philippines (PL 12:126) has greatly subsided and the Home has returned to their normal witnessing, follow-up and Home activities. (See also Answered Prayer PL 12:20.)
31. Daniel (PL 12:84): His leprosy is slowly healing.
32. Olivia (7) of David and Victory (PL 5:115): She has made substantial progress in her learning and growth.
33. Mike (6) of Abel and Bright (PL 7:127): Has made a lot of progress, even though diagnosed as autistic, mentally retarded and suffering from epileptic fits.
(North America:)
34. Investigation closed (PL 12:130): Authorities who visited one of our Homes after hearing false allegations from our enemies have cleared us of any charges and officially closed their case. We are now on the attack, filing civil and criminal suits against our lying detractors.
35. A radical Christian lawyer (PL 12:132) fighting CAN and government corruption is doing better financially, and is safe despite death threats. She has decided to devote her full time to fighting for religious freedom.
36. Housing (PL 13:68): The Lord supplied three free houses over the past two months.
37. Potential Disciples (PL 11:102): V., our psychologist friend, has gotten much closer and wants to drop out with her 15-year-old daughter, as both say that they have finally found the true purpose in life and their real Family! The daughter spends all day at the Home, getting classes and helping with the kids, and her mom says that she wants her to be with us forever! V. wants to conduct psychological tests on our kids to show that they are well adjusted, normal, happy kids.
38. Kings, supporters and finances (PL 13:64) When the Homes have been too busy to raise their rent, the Lord has often had to drop it from Heaven at the last minute via unexpected sources.
39. Teen and JETT witnessing teams (PL 13:48): Nearly every area teen and JETT has been able to hit the road for two weeks to a month, dedicating 100 percent of their time out to personal witnessing and Summer fun, which has helped to infuse new life into our teens!
40. Jason (5) of Ezra and Abby (PL 12:139): Healed of ear problem.
41. Victory, Nina and Joanie (PL 12:141): Victory and Joanie have not had a problem with asthma since the prayer request went out. Nina has improved greatly.
42. YA Rebecca (PL 12:147): Swelling and pain in knees has decreased.
43. YA Comfy (PL 12:148): Knees also much better.
44. Rose (PL 12:157): The Lord led in a new direction, and the divorce from her backslidden ex-mate was not necessary at this time.
45. Joy (6) (PL 12:41) of Alisha: The last operation on her cleft palate was the most successful so far and she is recovering very well.
46. Anais of Steve and Kristy (PL 12:137): Not experiencing headaches as often, and her eyes are now fine.
47. Sheri (PL 12:138): Leg pains gone, and back pain is much better.
48. Tina (15) of Michael and Lily (PL 12:161): Her foot is completely healed and she has had no problems walking on her own.
49. Timmy (6), of Ava (PL 12), who has rheumatoid arthritis. Has continued to make remarkable progress. On his recent check-up, the doctor was raving about how he was doing and was impressed by all the work that his mother does with him at home.
50. Tim (of Joy) (PL 12:160) Progress in his recovery after back surgery. The doctor is surprised that he regained all of the feeling in his leg.
51. David (2, of Lalo and Ruth) (PL 12:142): Completely healed of constipation.
52. Mercy (PL 12:156): Sleeping better almost every night.
(South America:)
53. Punctured eardrum healed: Paulo's eardrum, which had been punctured, had completely closed and was healed after the Family laid hands on it and anointed it with oil. However, he was experiencing some pain and dizziness. The doctor said that there was water behind the eardrum, and recommended an operation to drain it. But after prayer, when Paulo went for another check-up, the doctor was amazed to see that a very very small hole had opened and the water was draining out!
54. Joanna Bear: Three weeks before her due date she discovered she had placenta previa, a condition where the placenta covers the cervix and blocks the way for the baby to come out. The baby was also lying transverse across her uterus. She had desperate prayer and laying-on of hands on national prayer day. When she went back to the doctor two weeks later, the placenta had moved over to the side and the baby had turned and the head was engaged normally!
55. Miguelito (3): Healed of bronchopneumonia from one day to the next. After prayer, he didn't have fever or feel sick!
56. Juan Daniel (2, of Felipe and Victoria) (PL 12:176): Intestinal problem almost completely healed.
57. Maria Clara (1, of Mateo and Brunilda) (PL 11): Healed of kidney infection.
58. Teen Heidi (of Sharon) (PL 11:229) has had victories in her growth and spiritual maturity and in having more love toward others.
59. Carolina (6, of David and Lily) (PL 11:228): After having a problem with extreme sensitivity to light, the Lord has healed her so that she is now able to participate in activities with the other children without the light bothering her eyes!
60. Tiaguinho (3, of David and Lily) (PL 4:27; 5:18): Now gone to his Heavenly Home after a short relapse of cancer. The Lord has completely delivered him!
61. Priscilla (of Josue) (PL 9:115): Completely recovered from recent operation after a tubal pregnancy.
62. Grandma Mary Trusting (67) (PL 9:116) has been in good health and strength and has continued to be a blessing and help in her Home.
63. National Translators (PL 12:165): New field translators.
64. Northern Brazil (PL 12:164), which was suffering drought, has been having rain at night and in the afternoon.
65. "It shall not come nigh thee!" While two Family Members were on their way to personally distribute some Statements in downtown Caracas, a car bomb exploded just a few hundred metres away from them! They had been planning to park in what they thought was a secure parking place, but they were delayed from entering this parking lot--where just minutes later a car bomb exploded, destroying 30 vehicles!
(Europe:)
66. Continued religious freedom in Russia after Yeltsin decided to veto a bill which would have seriously curbed religious liberty for foreign missionaries.
67. Russian friend of the Family (PL 11:162) much better after brain surgery for a tumour! He told us that when he was awaiting surgery in the hospital, he had an amazing wonderful feeling and he didn't know what it was. When his wife told him about the worldwide prayer request that we'd sent out for him, he said that he knew what the wonderful feeling was.
68. Peter Fish of Paula (PL 8:185): Healed of serious slipped disks. Doctors told him that he should have some of his disks removed through surgery, but the Lord has answered prayer and he has been walking, running and able to carry on as normal. His foot has also been completely healed after the operation and gives him no trouble.
69. New housing in EE (PL 13:68), including one property with two buildings and a total of 17 bedrooms, plus large communal rooms and spacious grounds.
70. Housing in Bulgaria (PL 12:208): A very nice flat with good utilities.
71. Serbian girl disciples (PL 12:67): One rejoined as a full-timer again.
72. Carmen (8, of Franz and Ramona) (PL 12:209): Healed of eye infection without the need of an operation.
73. Rose Marie (of Jo) (PL 12:202): Fully recovered from toxemia.
74. Praise (PL 12:200): Hernia healed.
(Pacific:)
75. Protection for the Japanese Family: The Family in Northern Japan was not harmed by the recent earthquake that killed over 200 people and left millions of Dollars worth of damage, and they were able to minister to many victims of the earthquake and tidal waves.
76. Continued peace in Korea: The Lord answered prayers for peace in the land, as the recent tensions between North and South Korea have somewhat relaxed.
77. Byron (PL 11:171): His internal stitches weren't healing well, but three days after the last prayer day, they completely healed and he hasn't suffered any recurrences.
78. Theresa (of Elijah): Placenta previa healed.
79. Mercy, Hong Kong Chinese national sister: Greatly improved eyesight after serious eye operation.
80. David, baby boy of Pauly and Joy: Left testicle descended into place.
81. Marie Claire, of Stephen and Crystal, has gained many victories in her behaviour, and is virtually healed from an infection.

82. Dad and Mama's security, and protection from vicious enemies of the Family, who are going to great lengths to find them and persecute them. For their continued miraculous protection and safekeeping, as well as that of all our offices and WS Units.
83. Mama's eyes.
84. Peter's leg, which has been a little better, but is still quite painful frequently.
WORLDWIDE: For All (OCs and under with guidance)
Persecution:
85. Please pray for the Family in Argentina, where the authorities raided most of the Buenos Aires Homes, arrested the adults and seized over 100 of our children! This shows our enemies' vindictiveness, as just recently the Family there won two court cases in other parts of the country; so pray not only for the quick release and vindication of the Buenos Aires Family, but also for the exposure and defeat of our enemies.
--Against Priebe, Watchman, Miriam & other backsliders, who helped instigate the raids, along with possible cooperation from branches of the American and Canadian governments.
--Against any plans in the works to raid any of our other Homes throughout Latin America or in other parts of the World. For the protection of our precious children in other countries from misguided police raids.
--Against the false accusations of the judge trying our case, who says some of our children bear sexual wounds, which is just the opposite of what his own medical examiners have found! That we can bring out the truth quickly, and that the present judge, who is very biased against us, will be replaced.
--For the Lord's protection and anointing on those who have been detained, and that top lawyers, professionals and authorities who will be real fighters will rally to our cause to fight for His children in Argentina.
--That our picketing of Argentine embassies and consulates around the World will draw attention to our plight and win us more friends, supporters, and official help to set our people free!
(From Mama:) "God damn those evil enemies who are causing God's children so many problems! Lord, please bless our little ones and the adults, keep them safe. Help them to hang on, to trust You and to know that You're going to work it all out for their good and Thy glory. Help them to have faith that You'll take care of their little ones, that they're Yours and You're there right with them and You're going to care for them. Raise up friends, Jesus! Raise up people who will stand up and fight for us and put these enemies to flight, in Jesus' name!"
86. Media teams and those preparing rebuttals and press releases: The Lord's wisdom, supernatural anointing and strength for our media teams and writers in the midst of this global media storm. For good health, despite stress and long hours. That our press releases will be effective positive publicity and receive widespread coverage to counteract the negative that is coming out against us in what seems like a well-orchestrated worldwide attack.
87. Contacts in the media: New friends and contacts in all sectors of the media worldwide who will report objectively, help us expose those who are behind the current attacks, and get out the Lord's message of salvation and warning to the World.
88. That we can inspire the U.S. government to initiate more aggressive investigations into CAN's activities, and expose the dirty anti-religious operations of the worldwide anti-cult movement.
89. Continued incarceration for CAN deprogrammer Galen Kelly, who is pressing for a new trial after being found guilty of kidnapping, and that his jail stay will be a lengthy one. Also that CAN deprogrammer Rick Ross and cohorts will be found guilty on charges they are currently facing.
90. Against the Catholic group Opus Dei in Argentina, one of the powerful groups behind our persecution there, as well as a wealthy female businesswoman who is financing some of our enemies because she is jealous of her husband's interest in the Family. That the Lord will cause them to fall into the pit which they've tried to dig for us. (Psa.57:6)
91. Against Adrian Van Leen, who is trying to stir up trouble against the Family in the East.
92. For a positive article in an upcoming issue of a Christian magazine which has done negative articles on us in the past.
93. For our lawyers: Their continued preparation of heart for the battles ahead, and that they'll have time to study our materials and have a greater conviction than ever before. That they'll be able to finalise important documents and legal proceedings, and that the judges and government agencies will be moved to take swift action against our enemies!
94. Visiting of local officials: That we can have good relations. To be able to explain our work, and that they will receive us well.
95. Sociologists and academic contacts: For the Lord's anointing and leading on Family representatives attending important conferences, and the preparation of Family Homes hosting our dear friends and visitors. For several academics soon to visit Family Homes for further studies of our group to help in our worldwide fight for religious liberty. For our friends' support, wisdom and conviction, as they are being called to take more of a stand against the AC forces, and that those ministering to them will have great love and wisdom.
Court Cases:
96. Court Case in England: For a crucial preliminary hearing on Oct. 4, which sets the terms of Pearl's case and what direction it will take. Please pray for the judge now, however, as during the next few weeks he will be reading over all the material which we have submitted and will decide what is relevant to the case and what he will (and will not) rely on as evidence. Also for finances, as this case has cost a great deal of money, and funds for Pearl's defense are very very tight at present and are a vital need.
97. Against CSV in Melbourne, which is offering to finance legal representation costs for our children, so they can proceed with the case against their parents. Please pray that the judge will hold to his decision that the parents, as well as the children, will have to have representation for the case to go ahead, or better yet, that the case can be mediated. That we can stop the case and publicise the CSV's continual harassment, as well as their waste of funds on persecuting us. For our marches, protests, picketing, winning of public support, follow-up of important people, and government intervention on our behalf!
98. Court case in France:
--Dismissal of the charges against 15 adults who are still charged.
--Against attempts to deprogram our children in Aix by the authorities responsible for their outside recreational activities. Also that they will agree to only 2 hours of outside activities a week with a parent present. They want to take the children to all-day activity camps once a week without the parents, & also want to spend time "talking" to the kids. Also that the judge will not decide to take the children back because of our stand on this issue.

--That we will be able to successfully sue ADFI and that "Haman will be hanged in his own noose!" (Esther 7:10) (This is one of the passages of Scripture the Lord gave us for this fight.) That the Lord will anoint our lawyers with wisdom.
--That the U.S. Consul who is investigating ADFI's activities will present an incriminating report to the U.S. State Department and the French government.
--The follow-up campaign to get the truth about the Family and about ADFI's activities to men of influence in France, such as MPs, church leaders, sociologists, jurists, etc. That we will be able to document and expose their evil anti-Christ attacks on religion, and that the government will take action against them.

99. For our children in France, who endured the police raids and some of whom endured 51 days of captivity in System hands. That they will quickly overcome the adverse effects of this difficult experience, and that they will come through all of this stronger and more dedicated little soldiers than ever before. Mama, in writing to some of the leadership, said:
"Let's pray that our children in France will recover quickly from the traumatic effects of their time in custody. The Lord promised that not one of them would be harmed, yet the traumatic effects of the police raid and their time in the hands of our cruel enemies is very evident. Was God wrong?--Of course not! But God's ways are not our ways, and God doesn't see things the way we see things.
"We look at things in the short term, but He sees the big picture, and just because He allows some wounds doesn't mean that we are permanently harmed. In the midst of the battle we're bound to bleed, but after the battle the Lord will comfort and heal. God sees things much more in the long term than we do, and if something has to hurt us in the short term in order to help us and make us stronger in the long term, He doesn't really consider that we've been hurt by it.
"In the long run, our precious children are recovering, stronger and more dedicated than ever before, fulfilling His promises that they would come out of these experiences `without even the smell of smoke.' (Daniel 3:27) It may seem that they're pretty singed right now, but as one report on the Australian children brought out, they have come through the raids they experienced even stronger than they were before.
"God is working out His purpose in their lives, and someday they and we will see the Romans 8:28 in it all. Just remember that the Lord doesn't always fulfil His promises immediately, they usually take a bit of time. He looks at things in the overall and in the long term, and to Him it's all the same, whether the fulfilment is right now or it's later. He said it and He'll do it, and we can't restrict Him or confine Him to a certain time period.
"The Lord has helped many of our children in Australia to completely recover already, although it's taking a little bit longer for some of them. But the Family there is seeing that this is really a Romans 8:28 situation, and the children are much better for it than even before. Praise the Lord!"

202. TSer John Newheart, who is facing legal problems for his assistance to Family Members who unknowingly violated customs regulations. He was given a sentence of 13 months in prison, along with a fine of $3,400, but has appealed the case and is still free. That the Lord will do a miracle and help John to be absolved from all guilt in this case.
203. For the Work in Russia, Moscow in particular. That we can: Establish older and influential friends, and re-establish contact with any friends we haven't been faithfully taking care of; begin "Consider the Poor" Ministries; gather recommendation letters from friends; train the nationals and prepare them for indigenuity.
204. Against a proposed new law in the Ukraine that would outlaw any religious groups that are not Ukrainian. If this law is passed, it could affect religious freedom in other former Soviet republics as well.
205. Maria (10, of John and Marianne): Severe myopia (near-sightedness), which even glasses don't seem to help.
206. Tim (13, of Joan): Complete healing after operation on his ureter.
207. Supply for the EE Homes as they learn to raise more of their own support.

227. Baby girl (newborn, of Gideon and Lamb) with Down's Syndrome. Against other complications with her health, for her development, and for grace and strength for Gideon and Lamb.

When I was very sick with toxemia and almost went to be with the Lord, I remember having such a peace come over me, knowing that our precious Family worldwide was praying and that the Lord had me in His arms and there was nothing to worry about. I felt very loved and so honoured to be a part of this wonderful Family. Each day someone came to visit while I was in the hospital, it was like a touch of the Lord's healing. I know the prayers and personal care were what healed me so quickly. I just want to say how thankful I am for each personal prayer which meant so much!
I have learned so much about the power of prayer recently, and during this time of persecution in France the Lord was impressing on my heart again the importance "To Pray, Pray, and Pray Again," as Mama said. I received DM 1:148, where it says, "Beloved, pray for His children! There must be those who cry out unto Him in agony of supplication for those that are in need. The prophets of God must pray the Word of the Lord for them which are in need. The children of God must agonise for His little ones! They must pray! They must pray!" It beautifully reminded me of my responsibility and duty to the Lord, His children, our Family, dear Dad and Mama, as they need our prayers and God will answer when we pray! Thank You Jesus!

We have organised prayer teams, and divided our prayer requests from the PL, Area, Home, etc., in sections. Every day each prayer team gets together to pray for the section they're responsible for, which doesn't take more than 10-15 minutes, & it helps us to cover all the points.
From Rose, Sharon, Peter, SEA:
We had special prayer for R., a Hindu friend who has only recently received the Lord, during our Monthly Prayer Day. He had been getting discouraged due to serious business problems. So we really prayed for some miracles in his business to encourage him, and the next day when he visited, he told us how the day before he'd had several good orders come through that he had been waiting on for a long time! He was thrilled and was really giving God the glory, when we told him about our special prayers for him!
From Claire, Dawn and Dust, SEA:
We were very encouraged and excited to see the remarkable progress one of our friends made after the Home had united desperate prayer for her at an outreach meeting. She had quite a problem with being extremely tense, keyed up and nervous, and talked almost incessantly, to the point that it was almost impossible to feed her. After desperate prayer together, she has calmed down so much, and listens and receives the Word so sweetly. She even carries her DM with her and pulls it out when we get together, requesting to read together.

We are continually learning to have more fervent prayer times, especially with the blessing of hearing prayer requests from other areas. In our devotions we often read topics about being "importunate in prayer" and on the spiritual warfare depending on us, to keep us stirred up in the spirit. We also have to constantly remind each other to keep our prayers short, specific, direct, to the point and avail ourselves of all the different ways to pray, as often we adults get back into our old rut of long prayers.
