(Dad:) There are a lot of teens who feel a little lost and lonely. It's a very common thing. It's just the way life is during the teen years. But it passes!
Your teen years are like driving through a fog sometimes; you can barely see ahead of you. Sometimes you don't feel like you're getting anywhere. You don't even know where the road is or how to drive. You don't know what's up ahead and you feel isolated and alone. But the fog always lifts, and the sun always comes through; you just have to give it time.
That's why King David said, "Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path!" Because that's when you need the light--in the fog or in the night when you can't see more than a step ahead. So whenever it gets foggy, just pull out the Word, and the Lord will lead and guide you.
