My dearest, My beloved one, My precious one, I hear your thoughts; I know your innermost longings and fears and insecurities. I hear them all. I know them all. I see you go about your life, through your day, and you think that I have no love for you. You think that you must prove yourself. You think that because of your sins I am far away. You think that I wish to punish you, that you are too bad, and that I could not possibly love you.
You try to do the right thing. You try to be good. You try to show My love to others. Yet you feel that I am so far away and that I do not listen to you, that I do not talk to you, that I do not really care. For that, My heart grieves for you. Nothing could be further from what I really feel for you!
For now I say it; I say it to you, I say it to the whole world, I proclaim it--you are My beloved one in whom I am well pleased! You must
forsake these doubts! You must cast them out! You must forsake these lying vanities, these lies, these doubts that you believe! You must be filled with My Spirit, My Holy Spirit, My Spirit of love, for I can fill you. You are very precious to Me and I love you very much, and you must refuse these lies. You must cast them out! You must take that step of faith to believe that I do love you. You must resist these lying vanities, for in them you forsake your own mercy!
I know your faults, but I love you! I know your sins, yet I am not far away. I am right there beside you and I care for you. It saddens Me and grieves Me very much that you do not believe it, you do not receive it, you do not let Me come in. You blame it on Me. You think that it is My fault, but it is not. I love you! You must believe that I am not far away. I do not seek to punish you. You do not have to be good enough for Me, or try so hard to feel worthy of My love. You are unworthy, but that does not matter; I love you anyway!
So cease from these works and these efforts of the flesh to try to be good enough for Me. You will never be good enough, and you can never do enough. But that is not the point, do you not see? I love you just the way you are! (ML #2985).
