IND CLE 01 Electricity
Course Content: (CLE Electricity Lightunits 1-10) Four textbooks come with this course (listed below), as well as tests, a student guide and a combined instructor's guide. These textbooks are published by Delmar Publishers Inc., 3 Columbia Circle, PO Box 15015, Albany, NY 12212-5015, USA. An answer book comes with the series ISBN 0-8273-4076-1. Students in the USA should purchase a current National Electrical Code, and it is suggested they work with a qualified electrician.
         [Comment:
This vocational training series seems to be very good and thorough. The presentation is fairly basic but does have the scientific and mathematical information which is needed if this is to be your field of expertise. It helps students understand the basic principles of electricity. Home handymen need to be well informed about electricity. Trial-and-error and makeshift methods can be very dangerous and are bad training. When it comes to handling electricity, safety and wise use are most important and must be taught. All in all, this is a series of good vocational training textbooks for anyone interested in studying electricity. This comes with a series of test booklets, as well as having small tests and questions throughout the main textbooks. Caution: Electrical wire color codes and ratings may vary in certain countries. Be sure to check with local codes before proceeding with electrical work.]
